Each week, the Hollister School District honors and recognizes two children as the male and female, “Students of the Week”. The district receives nominations by school sites and recognizes students who show excellent leadership, behavior, and academics. All honorees receive a certificate with an inscription detailing the reasons they were chosen.
This week’s recipients are from Gabilan Hills and Hollister Dual Language Academy:

Jecely Vidales
8th grade
Teachers: Montserat Martin-Saiz and Wendy Southwood
Jecely Vidales is not only an excellent student, but she is a great friend to all and a humble person. She does a lot to support her fellow students and her good deeds often go unnoticed. We would like to recognize her strong citizenship skills and her academic strengths. She is an example of HDLA Jaguar Spirit and we are proud to honor her!

Daniel Reséndiz-Ramírez
Daniel is a great student who shows strong interest in all academic areas. He asks great questions, contributes to class discussions, and genuinely gives his best in the classroom. We know he will go far in life with this awesome attitude! He is a wonderful example of HDLA Jaguar Spirit and proud to honor him!

Everleigh is a well rounded student who has been a wonderful example of Gecko Pride! She is respectful and kind to others and gives 100 % in everything she does ! We are proud to honor her!
Moises Gonzalez

Teacher: Shari Vanderpool
Moises is an all-around great kid. A hard working English learner, he is also a great athlete! He is a serious student who not only completes his work, but also enjoys learning. He is very respectful of adults and his peers and one of the highest performing students in class. We’re so proud of Moises and happy to honor him!
