Hollister Collision Center accepts donations for Puerto Rican quake victims

Hollister Collision Center is stepping up to help those in need after earthquakes devasted Puerto Rico earlier this month.

The island was struck by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake Jan. 7 and experienced a series of aftershocks after the initial event.

Hollister Collision Center is accepting donations and money for an upcoming trip to the island where local residents will hand over goods to the people in need there.

Local residents who want to help the cause can drop them off at Hollister Collision Center located at 320 Hillcrest Road in Hollister. Residents can get more information about the donation effort on Facebook as well.

The business has been stockpiling goods, some of which are stored at Hollister Collision Center. The local business also has been one of the most active donors to local causes – such as youth sports programs – for many years.

The quake led to one death and crippled buildings, leaving many people without shelter and basic needs.

Here are some of the goods at Hollister Collision Center headed to Puerto Rico.
