San Benito High School Athletic Director Tod Thatcher on Tuesday presented All-Academic Team recognition to the top student-athletes from each of the 10 Baler Fall varsity sports.
From among 185 varsity athletes, 24 (13 percent) earned a grade-point average of 4.0 or above in the first semester.
The All-Academic awardees were: Senior cheerleader Audrey Armstrong (4.7 GPA); junior Jacqueline Herrera of varsity tennis (4.17 GPA); senior Kenneth Kleiwer of water polo (4.17 GPA); junior Samantha Logue of girls’ water polo (4.33 GPA); Ashley Maggiora of field hockey (4.50 GPA); girls’ golf freshman Alexis Montoya (4.0 GPA); junior cross country runner Lauren Okamoto (4.83 GPA); junior cheerleader Asacia Papadakes (4.17 GPA); junior football player Primo Reyes (4.14 GPA); boys’ cross country junior Mack Richards (Mack Richards 4.33 GPA); junior Jaya Waller of varsity volleyball (4.33 GPA).
