The California Highway Patrol Monterey Area office continues to seek the public’s assistance to locate the person, or persons, responsible for 38 reported incidents of objects striking vehicles traveling upon SR-156 and US-101 in the Prunedale area.
The CHP responded on November 18 to three reports of objects being thrown at vehicles on Archer Road in Prunedale from 7:05 to 7:15 p.m. The victims called 9-1-1, and the CHP was able to immediately respond. The CHP contacted three juveniles believed responsible for striking three vehicles damaging the windshield and the left side of the vehicles.Â
The CHP has confirmed there were no injuries, and, at this time, the CHP is fairly certain the three juveniles are not responsible for the previous incidents involving objects being thrown along SR-156 and US-101.
The CHP wants to thank the public for reporting any suspicious behavior and thank the victims for their swift efforts in calling 9-1-1 to report each incident. The safety of the public is our highest priority.
Anyone with information regarding the person(s) responsible for these incidents is asked to call the CHP, Monterey Area office, at (831) 770-8000. The CHP is dedicated to ensuring California is a safe place to live, work, and travel.
