San Benito High School has several activities on tap for this weekend.

On Friday, San Benito High School’s Circle of Friends club, which pairs special-needs students with general education students so they can practice social skills and feel accepted on campus, is hosting the inaugural Football Inclusion Night.

Fans are encouraged to wear white or purple as the school brings awareness to students of differing abilities and the importance of inclusion. The Gifted Cheer team will perform, Life Skills students will run out onto the field with the varsity pre-game, and a student will do the coin toss.

Then Saturday, the first Powder Puff Football Game in the new Andy Hardin Stadium will be this Saturday, Sept. 28. The Freshman will play the Juniors at 4 p.m., the Sophomores will play the Seniors at 5 and the championship game will be held at 6:30. All four classes have cheer teams, so come on out and see their routines, and enjoy some food, fun and competitive flag football.
