San Juan Bautista City Council members Tuesday will consider whether to take a position on commercial nodes planned along four locations of Highway 101 in San Benito County.
Although the nodes aren’t in the city’s jurisdiction, there was a belief such zoning changes could have an impact on the San Juan area.
San Juan Bautista City Council members Tuesday will meet at 6 p.m. at City Hall to consider the following:
Street closures
Resolution for Street Closures for Rotary Antique and Collectibles Faire, the Sesquicentennial Parade, and a Community Art Project.
Fireworks booth
Resolution Authorizing the Anzar High School football and cheer to sell fireworks before the July 4 holiday.
Preview to rodeo
Report on the San Benito County Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo taking place June 28-30 at Bolado Park.
2019-20 budget
Adopt the 2019-20 Budget as Revised.
Officially hire city manager
Appoint new City Manager Don Reynolds at a salary of $132,000.
Position on Highway 101 nodes
Consider whether to adopt a position on the county’s proposal for four commercial nodes along Highway 101. San Benito County’s board will soon consider a proposal to rezone nodes at Betabel Road, Highway 129, Rocks Road and Livestock 101. It would open up those areas for certain types of commercial development.
