San Benito High School at Tuesday’s Board of Trustees meeting announced this month’s Community Baler STRONG recipients: Hollister Police Chief David Westrick, Sheriff’s Captain Eric Taylor, and Will Sutton and Marlene Mead of Heritage Bank.
Chief Westrick was recognized for his presence on campus during a campus threat that proved to be a hoax and for working with staff to ensure that the school is safe.
Captain Taylor was recognized for his open communication with the school and for his “strong and consistent support” of the district, including being the announcer at Baler basketball games.
Sutton and Mead were recognized for offering six AFT (Academic Focus Time) sessions for students on campus related to banking, loans, credit and other financial matters.
