On Wednesday night at the San Benito High School Senior Awards Night, a local organization awarded the Kelly Freitas Memorial Scholarship to Ian Sills, who was this year’s Associated Student Body vice president.
The scholarship is given for all four years of college and totals $12,000. Ian will be attending Stanford University in the fall.
This scholarship is coming from funds raised through the annual Kelly Freitas Memorial Scholarship golf tournament and dinner party held every year in July.
This year, the tournament is going to be held on Friday July 12 at San Juan Oaks. It will be the ninth annual event.Â
