Saturday is a big day for the nostalgic at heart in San Juan Bautista.
After the third annual Fiesta Fun Run to benefit San Juan School takes place at 8 a.m. to benefit the Home and School Club, the school will hold its long-awaited 50th anniversary celebration that night.
Also Saturday, Anzar High School will hold a “25th Anniversary Bash” in the afternoon. At Anzar, there will be a BBQ, music, games, an open art studio and campus tours. There will be a 3 p.m. dedication of the newly named McKowen Hall and a 3:30 p.m. alumni game in the gym.
The weather forecast, meanwhile, is showing rain in the afternoon Saturday.
As for the San Juan School anniversary event, it will include a dinner, dancing and reminiscing at the community hall and Casa Maria in San Juan Bautista. There will be no-host cocktails 5-6 p.m., dinner at 6, and dancing from 7:30 p.m.-11 p.m. The cost is $50 per person.
