Assemblyman Robert Rivas announced a Youth & Government Leadership program for this summer that’s open to students in grades 9-12.
The 30th Assembly District representative’s office announced the program for June 25-July 18 for high school students.
It is an introductory program to learn more about state government and will take place in the assemblyman’s district office located at 60 Market St. in Salinas.
An announcement on the program lists off the following as subject matter:
- Leadership development training
- Knowledge of the legislative process
- Meet with community leaders
- Community service opportunities
