Supervisors to hear report on county’s Measure G funding

San Benito County supervisors Tuesday will review plans for road projects with Measure G sales-tax funds along with other financial matters.

The special meeting is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday at the San Benito County Administration Building, 481 Fourth St., Hollister.

Among the three agenda items, the board will hear a presentation on the Measure G sales tax plan from Mary Gilbert, executive director of the Council of San Benito County Governments. Gilbert will talk about the San Benito County portion of the funding.

Voters in November approved Measure G, the 1 percent sales tax over the next 30 years in San Benito County that will raised approximately $485 million to fund road projects.

Also on the agenda, supervisors will receive a report on the 2017-18 fiscal year audit from Clerk-Recorder-Auditor Joe Paul Gonzalez and a presentation on the 2019-20 recommended budget.
