Born on February 13th, 1947 to Granville and Doreen Grant, she had four siblings: Caroll, Meryl, Jillian and Ian. Her legacy lives on through her children: Ashley Phillips, Courtenay Phillips, Alex Howell, Dale Daniel, Zak Ashenhurst; 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Judith was a strong willed, no nonsense woman with a generous spirit. In 1979 she immigrated to America with 4 small children and her wits. Through hard work and dedication to her family she was able to establish herself in the San Jose, California. A woman of many talents and passions, her life took many paths from motivational speaking – mentoring women on self empowerment, real estate, business brokerage, entrepreneurship/business ownership as a seamstress, and ultimately her favorite vocation as a nutrition specialist for the City of San Jose at the Hank Lopez Center where she served and became loved by many residents of East San Jose. Her passions included traveling the world, reading, painting, playing bingo and knitting. She will be deeply missed not only by her family but by the many lives she has touched.
