On Sunday, March 3, Hollister Police Animal Care & Services will be conducting a low-cost spay and neuter day, offering a limited number of low cost spay and neuters for City of Hollister residents.
Appointments will be made in advanced and in person at the Hollister Animal Shelter, and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
On Feb. 8 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Hollister Animal Shelter will schedule four appointments for canine neuters, two appointments for canine spays, two appointments for feline spays, and 16 male cat neuters. These services will cost only $50 per pet and must be paid at the time the appointment is scheduled. This fee is nonrefundable. Once all appointments have been made are filled, additional applicants may be placed on a waiting list to be contacted in the event of any cancellations.
All appointments must be made in person at the Hollister Animal Shelter and require proof of residency within the City of Hollister (we are working to expand the program to include County of San Benito residents at this time). In order for your pet to qualify for low cost spay and neuter your pet:
- Must be in good health with no preexisting conditions
- Weight between 5-75 pounds
