The San Benito High School Career Center is pleased to announce the Local Scholarships List has been released to seniors.

Each year, organizations and members from our community offer generous scholarships to students seeking financial assistance to further their education at a two-, four-year college/university or technical/trade school.

Application deadlines vary, but the bulk of application deadlines fall on March 8, 2019.

As students await their acceptance letters from college, now is a good time to research and begin the scholarship application process. Most scholarships at San Benito High School use the Common Application, which requires the addition of three letters of recommendation, a student activity sheet, a personal statement, a current copy of the high school transcript, and additional essays if required.

There are other local scholarships that use their own applications. Information for all scholarships may be viewed on the San Benito High School Career Center website, which contains a complete list of all application requirements and deadlines. Many nationwide scholarships may also be found on Fastweb.com and Scholarships.com.

Students are encouraged to stop by the San Benito High School Career Center with any additional questions.

Among the scholarships available for local students are those from Rotary Club of Hollister, which issued the following details on the process:

The deadline to apply is March 31, 2019.

High school students in San Benito County are encouraged to apply for the Rotary Club of Hollister’s annual college scholarship program.

Each year, the Rotary raises funds to send future leaders to college. We believe that our future is in our youth and value the investment to make our world a better place with educational boosts.
