The San Benito High School Red Cross Club held its annual Fall Blood Drive on Oct. 10.
Approximately 80 people signed up to give blood and each person who donated could potentially save up to three lives. All donors who were able to donate blood gave one pint, except for Aidan Pung, who gave two pints, called a “Power Red” donation.
The blood drive occurred without much notice as the Red Cross Club was given the date because another organization canceled their event.
“Despite the limited amount of time that we had to prepare, my volunteers and I thought it was quite successful,” said Kami Brewer-Pozzi, president of the 45-member club. Another blood drive is scheduled for March 15.
