On Nov. 10 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Dolly the California Condor will be up close and personal, making a rare star appearance away from her L.A. Zoo home to benefit the Pinnacles National Park Foundation Condor Fund, which monitors and protects Dolly’s friends and family.
Event celebrants will delight in renowned local wines and enjoy delicious appetizers from the culinary art of Contemporary Catering while basking in the glorious view of the Pinnacles National Park from the patio of the beautiful Inn at Pinnacles, an upscale B&B located at 32025 Stonewall Canyon Road, Soledad.
Dolly will be accompanied by her zoo handlers, who will answer ques6ons and facilitate pictures for all attendees. The Pinnacles Na6onal Park Founda6on board and Pinnacles Condor Recovery Program manager, Rachel Wolstenholme, will be on hand to supply information about the park and its famous denizens as well.
“We are pleased to be able to provide the opportunity to meet Dolly during this special event with those who share our passion for preserving wildlife, and condors in par6cular, at Pinnacles Na6onal Park,” says Jennifer Westphal, executive director of the Pinnacles National Park Foundation.
This event will be held rain or shine. Tickets are $100 until Oct. 20, and afterward $125. For more information and tickets visit pinnaclesfounda6on.org or contact Westphal at (831) 313-3344.
