The National Civil War Association will take visitors back in time for two days of living history Sept. 8-9 as they re-create the sights, sounds and smells of the Civil War in the San Benito County Historical Park.

The re-enactment event will feature battle reenactments with soldiers, cannon fire and townsfolk. Â Visitors can walk through actual encampments of Union and Confederate soldiers, seeing how soldiers lived, prepared food, and passed the time till the next battle.
California bandit Tiburcio Vasquez and his gang will ride again as they did in that era, and Civil War-era vendors will feature the goods of the day that were indispensable to traveling armies.
On Saturday, Mansmith’s BBQ will be on site for hungry visitors, and the Dunneville Dance Hall will feature craft vendors. Sunday will feature Groupo Folklorio on the Main Stage.
