A 56-year-old Anselmo woman died in a traffic collision early Sunday on Highway 101 south of Highway 156, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident involved four vehicles southbound on the highway, while three others were injured in the wreck.
Catherine Henry, one of the drivers involved, died in the accident.
Shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, Henry was in a 2014 Toyota Camry northbound on 101 south of 156 in San Benito County when her vehicle and a driver of a 2014 Chevrolet Cruz heading southbound collided head on.
Another driver in a 2010 Mercedes Benz tried to drive between the two vehicles and collided with the front of the Camry. A 2014 GMC Sierra southbound on 101 drove to the right to avoid the Camry and collided with the Chevy Cruz.
Henry was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m. by medical personnel.
Southbound 101 was closed for about three hours during the investigation. CHP reported it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role and the investigation is continuing.

Others injured included a 22-year-old Aromas resident who was a passenger in the GMC. She had wrist and ankle pain, and was taken to Natividad Hospital in Salinas. A man with an unknown age and residence was taken to San Jose Regional Medical Center with broken legs and ribs, and a 22-year-old Watsonville women in the Chevy Cruze was taken to Natividad with a broken leg and back pain, according to the CHP.
