If you have business to do with the county this morning, you might have to wait because all the computer systems were down shortly after 8 a.m.
Workers at the San Benito County Clerk’s Office confirmed the systems were down as of 8:30 a.m. That includes all public terminals and the computers employees use to do their work.
A representative with the San Benito County Information Technology Department could not immediately comment and was going to return a call to San Benito Live on the matter. The County Administration Office had referred a call to the I.T. department when reached at 8:30 a.m.
County Supervisor Jaime De La Cruz had not heard of the problem minutes ago.
“This is news to me,” he said.
De La Cruz went on: “With any kind of technology as a tool to do work, there’s going to be some kind of compromise involved.”
