On May 9, San Benito High School’s AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program hosted AVID Arts, a showcase for students to display their creativity and artistry.
The event, led by AVID tutor/mentor, Arturo Muñoz, allowed students to take the stage and showcase their talents within the arts. Some students danced, others read poetry, and a few displayed their art pieces (drawings). By the end of the event, Muñoz reported, students in AVID “felt more as a family, and everyone’s confidence increased, especially in their artistic skills.”
