Brigida Hernandez passed away in San Jose at the age of 82. She was born in San Rafael, Mexico and lived in Hollister over 40 years. She worked in the local cannery, was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 890 and Sacred Heart Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Victor Hernandez (Yvonne) of Hollister, Santiago Hernandez (Valerie) of Hollister, Asuncion DeAvila (Uriel) of Hollister, Martin Hernandez (Rebecca Uribe) of Hollister, Peter Hernandez (Karina) of Hollister, Arturo Hernandez (Elizabeth) of Hollister, Maria DeAvila (Anthony) of Los Banos and Ernesto Jimenez ( Agustina) of Hollister, her sisters and brother, Margarita Duarte, Josefina Duarte and Flavio Duarte all of Mexico and her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Hernandez and brother, Pablo Duarte.
The Rosary will be on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Mass will be on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.
Friends can pay their respects after 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home chapel.
