Photos: Chamber hosts talk with public safety leaders

The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday hosted a “Lunch & Learn” event at Fire Station No. 1 in Hollister. The event provided an opportunity for Hollister Police Chief David Westrick, Fire Chief Bob Martin Del Campo and sheriff’s office Capt. Eric Taylor to provide updates on their respective agencies. They spoke to business representatives who attended the luncheon catered by Victoria’s Italian Deli. All three public safety officials emphasized in their reports that staffing is becoming a big issue. Westrick noted how growth in the Hollister area is bringing additional challenges for his staff.
