Born February 13, 1933 in Altadena, Ca. Bob went home to be with Jesus at age 85, on March 1, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Weigand, mother Floy Leisure, brother Joe Weigand, and his wife of 53 years Bonnie (Pollock) Weigand. He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Weigand and cherished step-family, sister Marilyn House, daughter Debbi Post, son David (Susan) Weigand, daughter Diana (Bill) Finnigan, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Bob was a faithful follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. An extraordinary husband, father, uncle, grandpa, and g-pa. He served his country well during the Korean War. Bob was one of the pioneers in the early 50’s in the semi-conductor world in the Silicon Valley area in San Jose, working for, Lockeed, Fairchild, Intel, Leitz, Technical Instruments, Zygo and consulting for several other company’s well into his 70’s. Bob was a man who loved his country, had high ethical and Christian moral standards. Bob was loved and highly respected by ALL who knew him. He was a robust , joy filled man who loved all people groups, and cultures, food, travel, family, “the life God gave him”. His loss would be devastating if not for the certainty of seeing him again in Heaven.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday March 17th at The Home Church 1711 Winchester Blvd. Campbell, CA. 95008, 10:30 am. Graveside service at IOOF Independent Order Of Odd-Fellows Cemetery at the intersection of Bueno Vista Rd and Acacia Ct. Hollister, CA.
