San Benito County Superintendent of Schools Krystal Lomanto joined Hollister School District Superintendent Dr. Lisa Andrew and Monique Ruiz, principal at Gabilan Hills and Hollister Dual Language Academy, in surprising two teachers Tuesday morning with the new Key to Success Award. The school leaders presented the award, launched this year by the county education office, to third-grade teacher Morgan Marquez at HDLA and fourth-grade teacher Shari Vanderpool at Gabilan Hills Elementary School. As part of the program, the office of education plans to honor teachers throughout the county twice a year.
